The US aviator Stephen A. Kusak (1919- 2004) is one of the main protagonists in the history of Son Vida. In the fifties of the last century, and as the owner of the land together with José Luis Ferrer and Joan Mora, his vision went much further. In words of his son Albert Kusak, CEO of Son Vida, S.A., "my father brought from the United States the idea of making a resort including a hotel, a golf course and a residential development around it, much in the American style of that time.
Along with Messrs. Kusak, Ferrer and Mora, another fellow aviator of Stephen, Joe Rosbert, also took part in the project. They chose this location because of its proximity to Palma, just 5 minutes from the city centre.
With its privileged views and extensive green areas Son Vida became the most luxurious residential area in Mallorca, in just a few years, with plots of between 1,000 and more than 15,000 square metres.
Since 1957, Son Vida has become a point of reference for people who make quality and good taste their way of life.
